"Thats only the half of it and to be painfully clear, I don't even know if that plays anything anymore!" he hissed coldly, bringing his face back into a snarl; one he would usually give a cat he thought was his enemy.
Whats when he caught onto the words that she had said she had just got back, causing his fur to begin to lay flat again. She had left? Bitterhearts head began to tilt again, an old habit, but he quickly straightened up, not about to let down his guard.
Surely she couldn't have been gone for a long time, he definitely would have noticed but just the fact that she had left and he didn't know about it upset him a little. Surely she could have told him she was going away, couldn't she? No, this just showed it again, that all he actually was was just that Clanmate; that tom in her Clan that was that one hit wonder.

"Ohh, so you left somewhere?" he asked harshly, "And you didn't even bother to let me know? Oh, now I know how everything really meant between us."
He didn't mean to let out the last part; it just seeming to slip off his tongue without any notice which had caused him to bring back his snarl, though his eyes never looked away no matter how badly they wanted too.

I let a furious snarl creep upon my muzzle. I didn't want to tell anyone because they would either try to make me stop from going or try to follow me, I said though the snarl. The old home might still be crawling with those strange golden dogs. I couldn't let another get hurt because of where I wanted to go see what happened to my old home. I still couldn't believe that this was the same cat I once knew. He changed in such a short time. And what other half? I questioned.

"What if you had gotten hurt along the way? What if something had happened that had stopped you from returning, huh? You should've taken someone with you - why didn't you ask me?" he snarled back, his tail lashing from side to side still. Of course, he could partly understand why she hadn't had asked them. It had been so long since the two of them had talked that it didn't seem right for her to ask him such a thing, and something almost personal.
Thoughts quickly flashed throughout her mind of her getting hurt along the way, something almost killing her. His heart began to throb again and this time he did indeed turn away, trying to put those thoughts into the back of his mind. He didn't want to picture such a thing.

His ears pricked forwards when he heard her mew out once more, though her words pierced his heart like a dagger that time. The other half .. He was afraid she might ask that question but he figured she might have been smart enough to know what the other half was.
He turned back up at her, his eyes filled with so much mixed emotion it was hard to pick out what was what anymore: "The other half..?" he spat out coldly, "I shouldn't even have to tell you that, Snowfur, you should know well enough."
He knew far too well what it was. He felt as if she had abandoned him in the world, didn't trust him anymore with anything - that he didn't mean anything to her anymore and it killed him, killed him like a monster had rammed into him from Thunderpath. And now, this is what he had turned into, the same cold blooded tom he had been back before she had first met him.

Because I didn't want anyone else to get hurt! And what do you think I am? An apprentice? I know that forest better then this forest. If trouble did find me I could have found a good hiding spot faster then a heartbeat, Came my quick reply. My tail lashed angrily as I advanced another step closer. If it was any other place I would have told you and asked you to come along, ok? I snarled. And no. I don't know what the other half is so why don't you refresh my memory? I spat out angrily. I didn't know how long until I would have enough with this tom and storm off.
Maybe back to the old forest. My old home. Maybe I could possibly go back to Riverclan. I doubt they would accept me back. I was only a young apprentice when I left to join Shadowclan when I followed an old warrior that use to be in the old forest. I sighed mentally, my eyes glazing over for a moment and my fur beginning to lie flat again. I missed my old home. Back then things were simple. Why did those golden dogs have to attack our homes? They had planed to storm into Sunclan, my clan. The other clans agreed to help us and we fought against them and won the first battle. We never excepted the second wave to flood us. That's when I fled. I almost lost my tail in the first battle and almost my life in the second. I knew other cats had fled with me. Like my brother and a few other warriors and apprentices. I never knew what happened to the clan until I went back. I was sickened by what I saw. My mind quickly remembered what was going on around me. I swiftly made my eyes get rid of the sad glaze that went over my eyes and made them glare slightly at the tom. I made my fur prickle up again as well.

She had a good point that time; she probably did know her old forest better then anyone but still, it troubled Bitterheart to know she still wouldn't have asked someone, he just cluing in that she had returned to her old forest.
By now, Bitterheart couldn't find it in his tattered heart to look back up at the she-cat. Stuff like this always put him in an awkward place when it came to him having to explain his feelings; he thought it nothing more then showing other cats that he was a girl thingy.

His large paws made an unnoticeable stumble on the ground before he forced himself to look at her from the corner of his eyes, his head still facing the ground.
"You left me, that's what!" he spat back, this time his voice a little less harsh then it had been before, "Everything was going great between us and then suddenly you had to go and become distant or whatever!"
He spat at the ground, his curved claws sinking into the soft earth before he flashed his head back up at her, his eyes narrowed: "You made me feel like some one hit wonder, that's what! So tell me, was there someone else in the Clan that you preferred to spend your time with or was I just not up to your god damn standards?! Please, I'd really like to know!"

Bitterheart diverted his gaze from hers again and began to turn around,, his back turning to her: "Whatever, I don't need this shit," he mumbled quietly, not even sure if she had heard him or not.

I loathed it when cats turned their backs on me before I could speak. It was more then just a pet peeve to me. With two large leaps I went around him and landed in front of him. There isn't any other cat alive in my old clan! They are all dead! All I found was bits of fur and scatted bones that still had blood and teethmarks on them! I spat in response. And like I said, any other place I would have asked you to come, I said my tone a bit softer. Somewhere in my mind a voice yelled something furiously at me but I ignored it and figured I would get to what ever it was yelling later. I opened my mouth slightly to continue more but decided against it and waited to hear his response. My blue gaze stayed intently at him, never moving and keeping my full focus on him and any small movement he made.

Bitterheart was caught a little offguard when she had leap in front of him, causing him to almost stumble backwards a bit and begin to topple over before he quickly managed to regain balance and found himself looking into her furious blue eyes. He got the impression that she had thought that he meant she had left him for someone else in her other Clan but she was a little off there; he was referring to the other cats in their current Clan, Shadowclan, the ones he thought she was being a little more friendly with then him recently.
Bitterheart remained silent, listening without a word while she spat back at him. He blinked slowly once she was done, as if trying to remember something and that's when it had hit him that he had remembered her telling him she came from two different Clans before actually joining Shadowclan.

The tabby tom looked down in shame for a moment, slightly feeling a little foolish for being partly responsible for this little squall before looking back up at her: "I'm sorry about what happened to your old Clan," he replied softly before his tone took another shift, "But that still doesn't answer why you've been ignoring me lately."
Bitterheart snorted this time while his thin tail made another lash behind him in annoyance. He couldn't think of any reasons of why Snowfur would be mad at him; he couldn't recall starting anything with her before now, so it just didn't add up to him.

I stared blankly at him for a moment. I haven't been ignoring you on purpose, I told him my tone growing softer then before. I just haven't felt like talking much to anyone since I got back, I said. My tone didn't grow any calmer or softer, nor did it grow harsher. My fur laid back slightly, though I was still angry at Bitterheart. I now see how he got his name. I wondered about it at first but then just pushed it to the back of my mind and decided that his mother named him without knowing.

Bitterheart slowly let his fur slowly fall back neatly onto his back while his tail began to just hang, the tip of it just brushing the ground.
His green gaze searched her face, making sure it was indeed the truth she was telling him before letting out a quiet sigh; feeling a little more ashamed then he already did.

"Ohh, I see," he began, his words muffled while his gaze seemed to shift every now and again, "I'm sorry I had jumped to conclusions."
His ears flicked a bit, not really knowing what else to say to the she-cat. Bitterheart usually wouldn't have jumped to conclusions; well, not like this, but when she wasn't with him, he felt utterly lonely. He had began to get a little frightened that she had actually found someone a little more caring and fun in their Clan to be with then he was, and that worried him. Having Snowfur not around drove him nuts with worry and day dreaming; wondering what she was doing all the time, where she was.

"I really am sorry," he suddenly added, eyes still locked on her blue ones, "Even though I might not sound like it."

I stared at him for a moment before my white fur started to lay flat again. I let out a small sigh as well. With any other cat I would have probably continue on in my rantings, but with him I just couldn't. I gave a small, hesitant smile before I leaned forwards and gently pressed my muzzle against his, affectionately. It's alright, I said softly with another sigh, bringing in his familiar scent. It seemed ages ago since I smell his scent. I hoped he wouldn't pull away quickly, as if he was mad at me. The small, almost uncertain, smile was still on my dark muzzle as my blue eyed gaze stayed locked with his.

At first, Bitterheart thought that maybe she wouldn't accept his apology by her hesitant reply. He was getting ready to turn away his gaze, thinking maybe it would be best if he just hurried along back to their home, before her muzzle pressing against his caused him to snap back to reality.
His heart seemed to skip a beat once he heard her soft reply which caused him to make a slight sigh in relief; an unnoticed smile creeping onto his face as he continued to look into her deep blue eyes, he almost becoming lost in them.

A small purr began to escape, one only loud enough for two of them to hear. Bitterheart stayed silent for a couple moments more, just breathing in her familiar sweet scent he loved so much, as he traced through his thoughts, trying to pick out the right words to say to someone as amazing as he thought she was.
"..I know this might be a little sudden, and please don't take offence to it but.." Bitterheart paused for a moment, though his powdered green gaze stayed locked onto her blue ones, "..But I really like you."
Right now, this tom wasn't sure if it was love he was feeling or not. Yes, for sure he knew he really liked this she-cat; no matter where he was, he couldn't help but find his mind drifting towards thoughts about her, but is that what you could call love? He wasn't sure, but one thing he knew for sure was that he wanted to spend more time with her and if they really did have a future together, he would find out that way.

A small smile appeared on my muzzle. I was curious if he meant he just liked me or liked me. Why would I be offended by that, I asked almost playfully my blue eyes locked on his green powdered eye gaze. I stare off into his eyes for a few moments before I opened my mouth and replied softly, I.. Really like you too. I prayed silently to Starclan not to have him taken away from me like all the others. I don't think I could have the same feeling of my heart being ripped apart again. Every time it seemed to heal it would be torn again. I almost wanted to run from him, and every other tom, so I would never have to deal with the pain again. But I just couldn't for some reason. I didn't know why but I just couldn't.

ooc// I meant to reply to this a while back but I've been stressed out with the whole Nick and -nameblankedout- situation, plus, I've become a little addicted to RagnarokOnline again. D: -hitsherself-

ic// He felt his heart skip a beat once he heard her reply, his eyes seeming to blink quickly as if trying to process all that had just happened. He dipped his head slightly, his eyes only removing from their lock before he looked back up at her; that faint smile still spread across his bramble-coloured face.
He gently pushed the side of his face up against hers, purring some before he stopped once at her ear: "I'm sorry for acting like a jerk," he told her again, whispering, but this time his voice was softer then the first sorry he had given her.

By now, the sun was already fast going down into the hill side; orange colours fading into the light brown canvas before black engulfed them. Tattered moonlight was beginning to push its way down while the stars were just about to appear. By the looks, it was going to be a beautiful night; even the once rough wind had begun to soften.
"I promise you I won't ever leave you," he murmured to her softly, sensing her dismay and remembering faint parts of her past she had told him about back in the days when they had first met, "I'll stay with you until the end."

I told you already, I began. It's ok. I stared tried to stare into his powered green eyes when he looked down for a moment, before our gaze locked again. I smiled and released a small purr at what he said. Good, I said softly, a small purr in my tone. I pressed my muzzle gently against his a bit more in an affection manner. Because I wouldn't want to spend it with anyone else, I said softly with a small, warm smile.

((Blah eky post.. lol))

Bitterheart knew he didn't have to say anything in reply; just the unusual caring, loving look he was giving her was enough of an answer to tell her his feelings for her were sincere. He gently rubbed his side up against hers, purring lightly into her ear as the tip of his tail gently rested on her shoulder.
"Looks as though its going to be a nice night," he mewed quietly while looking up at the sky, this time the stars more visual then before, "There's not a hint of clouds or mist lingering in the air."

He turned back to her, a smile that almost reflected innocence's fading along his face. In the dim light of the moon, Snowfur's cream coloured fur almost seemed to shine out a pale silver colour to him; almost making her look somewhat like a spirit from Starclan from the glow that she gave off.
His smile widened at the sight of her before he silently moved around to her other side: "Would you like to eat here before heading back to camp?" he asked her in a murmur, "On a nice night like this, I would like to think we could make the best of it."
He flickered his tail towards the prey he had tossed on the ground back when they were arguing. If he just brushed the dirt off of the animals pelt, it would be fit to eat; the drop he had given it shouldn't have damaged the food in any way.
