This was not a common thing for the leader. She was not used to the quiet, nor the dark. Not used to being able to hear crickets chirp, and owls sing. No, she was used to being mobbed by people, much like a clan of parparazzi, asking questions about what she was going to do next, what would you do if you were me, questions that held no meaning, no significance.

So let the silence overcome the sinners.

Firestar sighed, her auburn tail curling around her red body, the sigh shaking her small, fragile frame. It had been too long since she had been by herself, left to think and to conteplate her next move, without people whispering less then nicely in her ears. She let her eyes adjust to the darkness, her ears to the quiet, and just...sat.

She had no time to think. She had only time to soak in the luxury, the serenity of isolation. Too many moons, and one life later, she was limited on time. She knew that her eight lives would be gone soon... She wasn't going to last forever. And with the forest nervously awaiting turmoil, she knew fighting was going to come about. And ShadowClan, as always, would be blamed for something. ShadowClan, as usual, would end up in the center of the fighting.

So she would fight.

And eventually, she would die. You couldn't avoid life forever. Death was always lingering there, like a creepy ex, waiting outside your aparment door to jump you and rape you. And rape you it would.

Firestar slouched down into a uncomfortable crouch. Being comfortable was not her specialty - she was always prepared. Just in case something jumped out at her from the semi-darkness, she would be ready. Deadgrass always used to make fun of her for that- call her paranoid. But she wasn't. She was only realistic. After all, how many people would love to kill the leader of ShadowClan?

((I'm sry, I just had to say this, you can delete my post afterwords, i dont care, but you keep saying people instead of cats and making refrences to people society when its a cats world.(no pun intended)))
