 "This Is All My Fault..."
« Thread Started on Aug 18, 2007, 6:25am »

"Watermint!!" Thyme raced to the edge of the water, staring at the last surface in which he saw his sister. He himself was gasping, but not from the trip. Panic rushed up his legs, eating away at his thoughts. The one thing he knew- don't go in. If he learned nothing from Father's scoldings, it was never rush into trouble. Get. Help.

In shock, he realized how far away from the usual help they were. Mother and Father couldn't rescue them. Mother and Father didn't even know. This...this whole thing was because he wanted...he wanted to 'explore'. He should have known from the stories. 'Exploration' always ends in trouble. Or starts, for that matter. What could he do? How could he get help?

With a few pants of breath, wild eyes, and his short white fur standing upright, he did the one thing he could think of. Thyme took a deep breath, and opened his mouth. Fleeing from his throat came the most kit-like scream he could muster, his strong lungs pulsing the horrific sound as far as they could manage- and then some.

"Hang in there Watermint! Just- just-...oh Starclan...Somebody please save my sister!!!!"

Thrax Lay in the center of the camp not really sleeping or doing anything for that matter, but then again he could simply bully his way out of doing something he didn't want to. His short tan fur lay sooth on his pelt. This was his ideal normal day off for everything in this life. Zig zag had finally left him alone from n ot wanting to speak with his own mute son, and the patrols had been full and the hunting parties had left earlier so what else was there to be done other then bask in this wonderful weather that they'd been having lately.

His ears twitched slightly and he knew that there was something up, something that wasn't quite right. Getting to his paws, the massive half breed (I think I'd made him a half-bobcat, if not ignorr that little bit, I don't want to explain where that idea came from.. O-O) made his way out of the camp rather quickly. His amber eyes looked around, searching for what ever problem could a rise. Thrax's ears flicked as he heard a small yowl that was distance but the sound was pleasing in any way. Taking off at a sprint the tom urgently made his way toward the sound hoping that something was not as wrong as he fear.

Thyme looked up as he heard someone approaching. At first, his instinct was to run- but ti was quickly overcome. His paws kneaded the mud below his paws. Please! Who's ever there...SAVE MY SIS!"

"What have I done...What have I done..." His bitter muses chilled his chest as he spoke into it, staring at the water's surface where he last saw his sister. He couldn't see her, for the silt had filled the water. It wasn't moving fast, but none the less, the horror filled him. "hang in there Watermint...After this, we're leaving, I promise. We're gonna go home, and never speak of this again..."

He would have cursed if he knew what it was. Tears streamed down his face, and into his eyes. He himself began to scream in horror, wondering if he himself was going to drown in the misery of it all. He was...he had to admit now, just a kit. A disobedient, deserving kit- but why was his siter paying with ehr life for his stupidity?!

The muscular tomcat lower his head slightly a growl rumbling in his throat as he wasn't sure of what he should do next, mostly because he was being slightly desturbed from his day off. Inching forward the male eyed the pittiful looking cat and stopped his growling and straightened his figure, tail lashing behind him as his amber eyes stayed narrow and locked on the cat before him.

"What are crying about?" he hissed. "And why are you foolishly leaving your sister if she is as you say, in trouble? Are you not a warrior?"

As harsh as Thrax was sounding he was serious about every word he spoke. No cat that he knew from his birth clan would ever just abandon a sibling, mostly because they were to always travel in parties incase of such things. Perhaps this was the case were there was only two and one still in danger. Giving a slight shake of his massive skull the older male slammed a paw to the ground as his patients grew thin with the time that was being wasted.

"Just show me where she is," he growled. "And stop your crying, it's enbrassing to only yourself."

Warrior?

"She's...she's here...I don't know what to do I..." He straitened up, and sat himself down beside his sister. A few deep breaths fought back the flow. he felt so small next to this clan cat. How was he so calm about the whole thing? This was a tragedy! "There is help for her, isn't there? Tell me there is...I'll do anything..."

((Yay, cheep post paluza))

(ok..she's kinda across the river from Thyme, Flame....I'm about to post soon. I can't stand not posting much longer.)
(screw it. tis so posting.)

You're a canary,

The last thing she could remember was being thrashed against a boulder in the river by the subsiding waves. She awoke slowly, opening her eyes a slit. With her vision blurred she couldn't make out the figure near her. It was large and a fuzzy brown. It was speaking. But to whom?

I'm a coal mine,

She thought she had heard a shrieking. It was most likely what had disrupted her unconsciousness. It seemed to be coming from the other side of the river; it must have been the one conversing with the fuzzy brown being. What were they saying? She strained her ears hard as her weak self could to hear what was going on around her lifeless appearing body.

'Cause sorrow is all the rage,

"There is help for her, isn't there? Tell me there is...I'll do anything..."- the one said. It sounded so familiar. Who needed help? Someone was hurt. The small blue cat tried her best to blink her eyes open. Her tail twitched with the sight of the bright light of the moon shining on her. She shut her eyes tight and let out a short, quick mew.

Take one for the team,

'Mother, I know I shouldn't have gone off. But I did. And I'm sorry. Please, just help me find my way home!'

You all know what I mean

Thrax pointed his ears back as he listened to the young cat ramble on and on about there must be something to save this cat. Shaking his skull the massive tom cat leaned down to the she-cat and scented her slightly and stood up straight. He didn't really know what to do aside from bring the pair of them back to the camp so that Winterwind could look at the she-cat. Then the thought of moving her became slightly worrying as the tom realized that it could hurt her even more then just standing around waiting for her to get better just out of the blue.

"She'll be fine if Winterwind has a quick look at her," he growled, looking at the she-cat before turning to the tom again. "Go to my camp and ask for Winterwind! If you have any trouble what so ever, then tell them Thrax sent you and it's an emergency. I'll look over her for now."

He didn't want to seem like he was going to kill her or anything, he just didn't know what to do when it came to water downs. His knowledge of medicines went only as far as wound treatment there for not very much at all. His amber eyes narrowed as he looked at the tom and saw that he wasn't moving.

"I said move out!" he snarled and slamed a paw to the ground.

((Sorry about me not posting...I admit it, I was a bitch and didn't feel like it. Nao I'm just putting off an essay...))

With a startled jump, Thyme bolted toward the camp. His eyes were locked in the earth and plants before him, trampling them as he went along. He tripped often, but kept stumbling on. The scent of the clan grew thicker, and as he reached the edge of the camp, it dawned on him.

"Starclan help me..." He murmured. That's what his father had said in times of trouble. Father prayed to Starclan when all hope was lost- and usually things turned out okay. Thyme could only hope that now, as he rushed into the core of forbidden territories. With half of a hesitant breath, the kit stumbled into the camp...

((Gonna move it to the actual camp. Because I feel like it.))
